General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 26th May and its aim is to give greater protection and rights to individuals about the data that is held about them, as well as standardising data privacy across Europe and the rest of the World.

These changes have an impact and effect on everyone, both individuals and businesses.

Our Lady of the Magnificat Multi-Academy Company and St Peter’s Catholic First School, which is a division of Our Lady of the Magnificat, are “data controllers” and as such we need to state how and why personal data is processed and ensure we abide by data protection laws.
