Remembrance Day at St. Peter’s

At St. Peter’s Catholic First School (Academy), Bromsgrove Year Four children have been taking it in turns to sell poppies from the Royal British Legion in honour of Remembrance Day. The children have enjoyed taking on this responsibility and have done a fantastic job of selling the poppies to parents , staff and children in the other classes. Miss Claire Ellenger, Year Four Class Teacher said that “St Peter’s children have been wearing their poppies with pride”. After a very informative Class Assembly by Class 4R on Friday 11th November, as a school we then observed the 2 minute silence at 11 a.m.  and did so with great reverence and respect remembering all those, in the forces, who had died since WWI.  Every child in Reception made their own special poppy with a variety of crafts and then added it to the class poppy garden.
